The community is invited to the grand opening of Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre. It will be hosted on Saturday, April 5, from 11 am to 2 pm. The rec centre will officially open with full hours and programming beginning on April 7.
“We are pleased to open this vibrant community space in the growing Lynn Creek neighbourhood. We believe it will play a central role in connecting residents, building community, and enhancing health and wellness in this emerging town centre,” says District Mayor Mike Little.
There will be indoor and outdoor programs and activities for all abilities, interests and ages. Residents can participate in various recreation, fitness, sport and arts programs, camps, and birthday parties.

There is also an automated library kiosk operated by North Vancouver District Public Library. Parkgate Society will operate a daycare for infants, toddlers and 3–5-year-olds under a lease agreement with the District.
The new facility is District-owned and operated by NVRC.

Where is it located?
Lynn Creek Community Recreation Centre is located at 1491 Hunter Street in the heart of the new Lynn Creek Town Centre.
Located on the corner of Mountain Highway and Hunter Street, the front doors of the centre face out on Seylynn Park. It is just steps from the new Spirit Trail crossing over Lynn Creek that connects Lynn Creek Town Centre to Bridgman Park and Park & Tilford.
What is offered?
The centre provides a wide array of recreation, cultural and community programs and services that promote health, wellness, creativity and connection.
This includes programs and services for all abilities, interests and ages such as: sport and recreation, fitness classes, visual arts, dance, out-of-school camps, birthday parties, and indoor and outdoor events.
NVRC will develop additional offerings that serve the needs of neighbourhood residents and there will be a range of low-cost activities.
Is parking available?
There are 49 underground parking stalls specifically designated for the centre including accessible parking stalls and electric vehicle charging stations.
Visitors can also use active transportation by walking, cycling or rolling, or taking public transit to get to the centre. There are locked bike stalls available for centre visitors.
