A driver in North Vancouver admitted to drinking and driving after crashing their vehicle last week.

In a social media post, North Vancouver RCMP said officers on patrol came across the crash scene when the driver approached them and admitted to drinking. Police issued a 90-day driving suspension and impounded the vehicle for 30 days.

“This is not the way anyone wants to end the summer,” RCMP said. They reminded the public to report suspected impaired drivers immediately to help prevent serious injuries or fatalities.
